Irvine Director of Transportation Mark  Linsenmayer will address business and community leaders during the Greater Irvine Chamber Government Affairs meeting on Thursday, June 7, 8 – 9:30 a.m.

Linsenmayer will discuss opportunities to improve mobility in Irvine.

In June 2017, Irvine Mayor Don Wagner appointed Linsenmayer as Irvine Director of Transportation in support of stated policy to create a position within the city to address transportation needs. As the Director of Transportation, Linsenmayer manages all aspects of transportation, including traffic management and transit planning, and serves as the staff liaison to the newly created Transportation Commission. 

In his previous role as Deputy Executive Officer of Countywide Planning for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Linsenmayer was responsible for programming and oversight of several transportation initiatives. He brings transportation engineering and management experience to his role.

Linsenmayer earned a master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from University California, Irvine and a master’s in Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver.
